Karen Mangold
Karen is an experienced artist and has been painting for more than 30 years. She lives in the same village she was born in, in rural Bedfordshire. She still lives close to local farms and fields where she grew up and a lot of her subject matter are inspired by these.
With a love of colour and large expressive brush marks she likes to capture the energy and memory of beautiful moments. Whether it be stormy skies and wild spaces, or sheep grazing in local fields.
Karen is a qualified tutor and offers private tuition, and workshops locally in Bedfordshire. She has exhibited in many exhibitions in Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. One of her pieces of work “Harold” was voted by the public as being in the top five of best art works in show at Cambridge Open Arts in 2019, and “World on Fire” was again voted in top five artworks by the public in 2022.
This year (2026) Karen applied for Landscape Artist of the Year on Sky Arts and was shortlisted with her piece “Grazing”, which has been sold and now found a new home.
