APS therapy

APS (Action Potential Simulation) therapy is a painless treatment that some people find helpful in reducing pain.

This relatively new therapy has been trialled at the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford, and is now being used in several other MS Therapy Centres around the country.

What is The APS Therapy?

APS Therapy uses micro-current – a millionth of an amp of electricity – to send a copy of ‘action potentials’, the body’s own electrical signals, that may lead to reduced pain, reported to have given an energy boost and could assist injury repair.

Some people have reported improvements in wellbeing, energy, MS fatigue, spasm and sleep quality.

What To Expect From an APS Treatment

An APS session involves you sitting with electrodes attached. The treatment is painless, and takes around 40 minutes.

At your initial assessment an individual treatment plan will be devised and you will be taught how to use the machine and attach the electrodes. Some people carry out the treatment themselves at the Centre or at home, but help is available for those who have difficulty.

Sessions available at the centre:

Monday 10am - 2pm

Tuesday 10am - 2pm

Wednesday 10am - 2pm

Thursday 10am - 2pm

Please book a slot with reception
