 OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: 

We are seeking to recruit a compassionate, highly organised and proactive individual to join our growing team to help ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Centre. The Bedford MS Therapy Centre prides itself on delivery of high-quality therapies in a happy, relaxed environment to people living with long term conditions such as MS and Parkinson’s. To succeed you must have excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, a flexible, proactive approach to getting things done

As part of the team, you will be expected to support our service users and other team members.  Below is a non-exhaustive list of jobs:

·      helping service users access the gym - getting on and off and setting up equipment.

·      assisting service users with a therapy which involves following an individual plan placing electrodes on various parts of their body (training will be given)

·      supporting staff with general admin duties

·      keeping our refreshment area clean and tidy

·      good interpersonal skills to help build a good rapport with our service users whilst helping serve hot drinks if required

·      weekly cleaning of pool floor

Requirements:

·      Good computer skills with experience using Word and Excel.

·      Able to act on own initiative

·      Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a small team or on your own

·      Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and written English.

 

Benefits:
          
16 hours per week Monday to Thursday 10-2pm
           £12.08 per hour (FTE based on 37.5 hours £23,556)
           20 days of holiday plus 3 days between Christmas and New Year

           plus bank holidays (pro rata). Holiday increases with length of employment
           Contributory Pension Scheme
