A big welcome to Carl, our new Assistant Manager

We are all really pleased to be welcoming Carl to the MS Therapy Centre as Assistant Manager.

Carl is excited to join and said “I was born in Hackney, and brought up to support Leyton Orient, but have lived most of my life in Bedfordshire. I am married to Jen who teaches Pilates at the Centre and have 2 teenage daughters, so have little time for hobbies!

An automotive engineer by training, I spent most of my career at Millbrook Proving Ground, not just testing and developing vehicles, but working in sales, marketing, IT and their events and venue hire business. More recently I’ve been volunteering and working for Citizens Advice, helping clients with their benefits claims and also providing general advice.

When I saw the role at the MS Therapy Centre advertised, it looked like a role that would give me the chance to make a useful contribution to an organisation that has supported me. I was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago and having been a member for over 10 years, regularly attending for therapies over the last 6 years.

It’s an interesting time to start at the Centre, as, after a challenging couple of years, we are working to find ways for members to access the full range of therapies and other support that we offer. As well as getting back to what we were offering previously, it is also the right time for looking
to the future to what we can offer members in the years to come. I’m looking forward to being part of this process.”
