Cathy Burnett

Cathy Burnett is an experienced art and design practitioner. She exhibits locally, undertakes commissions and has her work in many private collections across the country,

There is a strong strand of ‘memory’ running through her varied pieces, with many,built around a narrative which explores people and places. She is interested in capturing collective memories and bringing them to life through her art.

Originating from Yorkshire, Cathy lives in Northamptonshire and has taught art in secondary schools and colleges across the region, for over thirty years.

She is currently a tutor at the Yardley Hastings Art Centre, fostering confidence and enthusiasm in others through her ongoing ‘You Can Draw’ classes.
