Alison Belding

Having been trained at Art College in Carlisle with a focus on textiles and fabric manipulation, I naturally headed down the route of bridal, historical and ecclesiastical costume design.  This developed into a collaboration with another fabric artist to produce a large textile artwork called "The Baptism of Christ " which is currently displayed in St. Saviour's Church in St Albans.

Although my interests lie primarily in textiles, I have recently refreshed my photography and water colour skills.

Whichever medium I use, I believe that my love of bold colours and striking images help bring my pictures to life. Having been brought up by the coast, vivid sparkling water and nature's creatures frequently feature in my art.
