Member and Carer forum

Bedford MS Therapy Centre is committed to a vision of improving outcomes for our members, and increasing the number of people we support. To achieve this, we recognise that we need to critically evaluate what we do and, where necessary, make changes that allow us to continuously improve. Members must be involved in this improvement process to ensure that their needs continue to be at the centre of everything we do.

To ensure members are fully engaged we are proposing to establish a new Members’ Forum that will meet regularly and provide vital input into our future plans. We hope that the forum will be:

  • Feeding back on member experiences at the Centre, what is working for them and what could be improved.

  • Identify gaps in what the Centre offers that, if filled, would improve outcomes for members.

  • Reviewing and feeding back on proposals for changes to the Centre.

  • Putting forward ideas for how members could be more engaged in the daily operation of the Centre.

  • Making suggestions on how the Centre could support member-led initiatives.

We are looking for members or their carers who would like to be a core part of this forum; our hope is that we will have a small group of members/carers, maybe 6 or 8, who can regularly attend meetings.  The forum would also be an opportunity for many more members and their carers to get involved when they are able to take part. Initially the Member’s Forum will meet on a Thursday at 3pm for 1 hour. Once established, the time and date of meeting may be changed to suit members.

Angela Daniels has agreed to assist us to set up the Members’ Forum and chair the meetings.

If you would be interested in being involved in the Members’ Forum, please contact Carl on 01234 325781 or admin@mscentrebedsandnorthants.com or speak to Angela.

Thank you for your support,

Angela & Carl
